The Toronto Urban Music Festival is the brainchild of the publishers of WORD Magazine. The publishers wanted to provide an opportunity to showcase the best of urban music and lifestyle in Toronto while providing marketers with a unique vehicle to reach the urban market. Today the Festival is produced by Toronto Urban Music Festival Incorporated, a non-profit organization dedicated to showcasing the best in Canadian and international urban music and mulitidisciplinary talent in a festival setting.
