Poetry Slam > Andrea McIntyre bioAndrea McIntyreBorn and raised in Trinidad & Tobagao, Andrea moved to Toronto in Feb. of 1989. In 1990 she became immersed in hip-hop and her traditional writing changed. She has now found her niche and love with slam poetry, primarily because it is a marriage of poetry and hip-hop. It is a creative expression that is unlimited and totally controlled by the artist, not trasnsformed by flow, music, rhyme or reason. |
