The Embassy

Hip Hop is a communication network. It was and is what the internet has become. It is music, it is culture, it is hope. Hip Hop is a teacher, it’s also a classroom with out walls for students you may never meet. The only thing is that, people only listen to you if you sound dope. The Embassy understand that. A five man colective rooted in Neo-Berlin (near Kitchener). Now in Toronto with aspirations of establishing themselves among Canada’s Hip Hop elite, they have been carving out a sound that is unique to their experrience and aspirations. Emcee’s Astral, Galactus, Glorious, Arkane and Elijah Khan take their content very seriously. Using strong flows and ever improving production to reach heads, listeners are often pushed to consider new ways of thinking and some very serious information about the state of the world around us. Still very young, there is a lot of room for growth with The Embassy which is an excitnig reality. Having performed at shows for Canadian Hip Hop icons such as K-OS, Kardinal Offishall, The Rascalz and Collision, The Embassy is gaining valuable experience in how to make thier presence felt. Performing at TUMF this year, the audience can expect a ‘tur-school’ atmosphere and a few jewels to take home.
