7Life 7Life is a name that sums up much of what he as an artist is about. 7 is symbolic of completion, and Life represents “true existence through Jesus Christ”. Being Christian is a primary aspect of who 7Life is, but it does not limit him in the ways that the Gospel title often limits rappers. With strong freetyle skills, and intricate word play about life as he knows it, his spirituality is not upfront and the primary focus, but is the underlying force guiding his movements.

It was in his early teens that 7Life began to take emceeing seriously. His intent to take the music to the next level was complemented by his studies which included subjects such as Jazz and Performing Arts. In the past couple of years, 7Life and Frontline records have begun to stir a buzz surrounding their music. Performing at numerous small scale shows and festivals, taking the sage at the H.Y.P.E. 2 Hip Hop showcase at the Art Gallery of Ontario, appearances on various community radio Hip Hop shows and a the release of a strong 12” in late 2001, it is only right that &Life makes his presence felt at this years TUMF.
