TUMF 2008 Artist Showcase
We are currently accepting applications for bands, solo performers and dance groups for consideration for Urban Music Weekl.
Performers will range in diverse musical styles from Hip Hop to R&B, Drum n' Bass to Reggae as well as Gospel. We are also accepting applications from Djs, dance groups and spoken word artists.
To be considered as a perfomer you must complete the TUMF 2008 Showcase Application form (see below) and submit it along with a cd, cassette or video, a photo, a bio plus the $20 application fee. Please make payable--via certified cheque or money order--to "Toronto Urban Music Festival Incorporated"
We will listen to a minimum of three songs. All info and product sent to us must be properly labelled and submitted material becomes the property of the Toronto Urban Music Festival and cannot be returned.
Your band and/or solo information will be automatically added to the Urban Music Directory.
Applications must be received by (TBD).
Only dance groups, bands and/or solo performers considered for a showcase performance will be notified by August 4th.

How can I submit a Showcase Application?
Complete the Showcase Application form and mail it to the Toronto Urban Music Festival, 4-2880 Queen St. E, Suite 123, Brampton, ON, L6S 6H4. Please include a cassette, CD or video plus a photo, a bio and the $20 application fee. Please make payable--via certified cheque or money order--to "Toronto Urban Music Festival Incorporated"

How will my application be assessed?
We will listen to a minimum of three songs. We are looking for a combination of production, melody and creativity. We will also be looking at the presentation as a secondary consideration. All of the information and product sent to us must be properly labelled.

What forms of payment are acceptable?
We accept certified cheques or money orders. All payments should be made out to "Toronto Urban Music Festival Incorporated".

Will my materials be returned?
Due to cost this is not possible, all material becomes the property of the Toronto Urban Music Festival. However all submitted artists and companies will be included in the Urban Music Directory, if applicable. Also keep in mind that we put out Word Magazine, aren't you glad your music's with us?

What are the performance times?
Showcase performers will be scheduled to perform between 12 noon and 10pm.
